FAQ

Common questions about the work, the process, and buying.

Are these prints?

No. Every Deadwax Art work is one-of-one. There are no editions, no reproductions, no prints.

Are the records actually cut?

Yes. Every record visible in a finished piece is a real vinyl record, hand-cut by the artist.

What does a work include?

The framed, finished artwork, signed and dated. A certificate of authenticity listing every record used (artist, title, pressing year). White-glove shipping in the continental U.S. International shipping by quote.

How long does a commission take?

Typically 8–16 weeks from approved sketch, scale-dependent. Major architectural commissions can take 4–6 months.

Can I supply my own records?

Yes, and many collectors do. The records you supply become part of the documented provenance of the work.

Will my records be damaged beyond use?

Yes — they will be cut. The records become the artwork; they don't survive as playable records. Most commissioning collectors are sourcing records specifically for the piece.

Where can I see the work in person?

Studio visits in Dallas are available by appointment. Pieces are also installed at partner showrooms — contact us for current locations.

What is the return policy?

All sales of original work are final once the work has been completed, photographed for the collector, and shipped. Commissioned works are non-returnable once approved sketches are signed off on.

What about damage in transit?

All shipping is fully insured. In the rare event of transit damage, the work is repaired or — if irreparable — refunded in full.
