Board Certified

Board Certified is a 24″ × 24″ mixed-media collage carved from nine vintage vinyl records and other found objects. A tiny car loaded with surfboards becomes a playful symbol of freedom and adventure, blending travel imagery with surf culture. Each record was chosen for its lyrical or thematic connection to the idea of hitting the road — from surf rock to road-trip anthems. Hand-cut and polished, the vinyl pieces are layered on a pure white background to create striking contrast. This one-of-a-kind artwork invites viewers to imagine setting off on an endless road trip with their favorite tunes and board strapped to the roof.
