Respect is a 36" × 48" work built from 32 original Aretha Franklin records. Notable pressings include Aretha Franklin Live 1970, Soul 69, Live at Fillmore West, original Who's Zoomin', and Aretha's Amazing Grace: The Complete Recordings. Each record is hand carved with a wood burning tool, assembling the portrait from the very vinyl that carried the Queen of Soul's voice into the world.
